A beautiful laguna located at the base of the Chacraraju glacier. From here you will enjoy amazing views of the Huascaran ,Chopicalqui and Pisco mountain peaks.
Along your hike you will find a large variety of flowers, some waterfalls and other small lagunas.
It takes about 3 hours by bus to reach Cebolla-Pampa (3950 m.a.s.l), the starting point of the hike. Another 2 to 3 hours walking will lead you along a clear well marked zig-zag trail to the laguna at 4600 m.a.s.l.For the well trained hikers we offer an alternative route climbing up to the Refugio de Peru,4780 m.a.s.l.You will be awarded with still more different and stunning views of the Pisco, Yanapacha and Chopicalqui glaciers.From here you hike down to Laguna 69 and back to Cebolla-Pampa.Estimated duration : 6 hours.Pls advise the guide if you choose to do so, for the guide will not come with you.

Along this trip we make several scenic stops
and discover some of the peculiar flora of the region. We mention especially the Puya-Raimondi, an impressive endemic plant of the high Andes.Its live-span is from 70 to sometimes 100 years and can reach a height of 12.After fowering only once it dies.

The Chavin civilisation has developed between 1200 and 400 BC influencing an enormous territory stretching from the Pacific coast to the Amazon.
During the guided tour of the archeological site and the museum you will learn of its historical importance and of its ceremonial customs.
Walking around the two temples discovering the Stela Raimundi and the Cabeza clava Three animals are worshipped here : the Condor, the Felin and the Snake.
Then you will descend into the underground galleries to see the Lanzon stela picturing the main Chavin deity. Earlier in the day, on the way to Chavin, you will stop by the Laguna Querococha

Climbing along a 3.5km path with a 600m drop, you will enjoy cascades and torrents, as well as fauna and flora typical of the Cordillera Blanca.
A small,dark=green laguna located in the Cordillera Negra at an altitude of 3.745 m.a.s.l, From its eastern small hilltop you have a spectacular view of the Cordillera Blanca and way down, Huaraz itself.
On a clear day you should be able to see the Huascaran, the Vallunaraju, and the Churup. It is an excellent hike for geting used to the height and acclimatize.
Located on the way to Chavin, this laguna is located in the core of the Cordillera Blanca will provide you a chance to walk towards the bases of the mountains Yanamaray, Pukarahu and Warak’ayuq.
This hike doesn't have any difficulties. Following a narrow path at the left side of the lake you reach its swamp-like end, from where you continue to hike along a meandering stream.Be sure to turn back around 13 hours at the latest, for the laguna Yanamaray is too far to reach in just one day.
