A beautiful lake located at the base of the Chacraraju Mountain, it also has nice views of mountain such as Huascaran, Chopicalqui and Pisco.
On the way up to the lake, you can find a large variety of flower, some waterfalls and other lagoons.
The trip by private transport lasts approximately 3 hours, until you reach a place called Cabollapampa (4000 m.a.s.l). From here you start walking towards the lake about 2.5/3 hours. The trail is very clear and signed, however you can get a free map and additional information if needed.

This one-day tour will allow you to discover the Huaraz region as well as its flora, including PuyaRaimondi (endemic plant of thehigh Andes which lives 70 to 100 years up to 12 meters high and dies after its unique flowering).
After a 3-hour journey with breaks, you will reach the Pastoruri glacier at an altitude of 5200 m.a.s.l.
You will be able to admire its splendor along a path where you will walk about 1 hour (possibility to rent a horse to do thiscourse).

This major archaeological site has been classified by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The Chavin civilisation haddeveloped between 1200 and 400 BC an influence on an enormous territory stretching from the Pacific coast to the Amazon.
During the guided tour of the museum andthe archeological site you will learn its ceremonial function.
You will walk around the two temples to discover the Stela Raimundi and the Cabeza clava honoring the three types of animals worshiped here: the Condor, the Felin and the Snake.
Then you will sink into the underground galleries to meet the Lanzon (main deity carved in stone). Earlier in the day, on the way to Chavin, you will stop by the Laguna Querococha

This hike on the heights of Huaraz will take you to the foot of the Churup glacier,on the edge of its magnificent turquoise blue lagoon.
A good alternative to the Laguna 69.
You will be climbing a 3.5km path along a 600m drop, enjoying cascades and torrents, as well as fauna and flora typical of the Cordillera Blanca.

Lake located in the Cordillera Negra at an altitude of 3.745 m.a.s.l, its colors are dark green and provides you a spectacular view on the Cordillera Blanca and its mountains.
Among these mountains, you should be able to see the Huascaran, the Vallunaraju, and the Churup. This is also an easy trip if you have just arrived in Huaraz and want to acclimate.

Lake located in the Cordillera Blanca at an altitude of 4.560 m.a.s.l, it will provide you a beautiful view of Huaraz the valley of Callejon de Huaylas and the Cordillera Negra, but also of some mountains of the Cordillera Blanca.
The path leaving from Wilkahuain, you’ll also be able to visit the ruins of Wilkahuain.
Above from the altitude, the lake is easy to access and the path very clear.

Lake located in the Cordillera Negra at an altitude of 3.750 m.a.s.l, the path leading to the lake will provide you a amazing view of the Cordillera Blanc.
This is also an excellent spot for lovers of climbing.
Its altitude not too high and its accessible path make this excursion a perfect one to acclimatate.

Located on the way leading to Chavin, this lake located in the core of the Cordillera Blanca will provide you possibility to walk at the bases of the mountains Yanamaray, Pukarahu and Warak’ayuq.
This excursion doesn't have any difficulties. Going around the lake, you’ll be able to go into the valley boarded by high mountains, crossing ruins, waterfall and river.
